Driving trip to Khao Yai.

Khao Yai, also known as Khao Yai National Park, is Thailand's first national park, established in 1962. It covers an area of ​​over 2,168 square kilometers, spanning four provinces: Nakhon Ratchasima, Prachinburi, Nakhon Nayok, and Saraburi. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site (Dong Phayayen-Khao Yai Forest Complex) and an ASEAN Heritage Park. The park boasts abundant natural resources, including rainforests, grasslands, waterfalls, and diverse wildlife such as wild elephants, gaur, deer, muntjac, gibbons, hornbills, and over 300 bird species. It's ideal for hiking, nature walks, wildlife viewing, rafting, cycling, or camping. The climate is cool and pleasant year-round, especially during the winter. Highlights of attractions within and around Khao Yai include: Heo Suwat Waterfall (film location for the movie The Beach),
Heo Narok Waterfall, and
Pha Diao Dai viewpoint. And the viewpoint at kilometer 30.
Nature trails such as Sarika Cave or the Kong Kaeo trail.

Besides the national park itself, the area around Khao Yai also has other attractions such as beautiful cafes, flower gardens (e.g., Hokkaido Flower Park), Chokchai Farm, Bonanza Exotic Zoo, and many luxury resorts, perfect for a weekend trip from Bangkok (approximately 2-3 hours away).
