Chatuchak market Bangkok walk tour




Chatuchak Weekend Market (JJ Market) is the world's largest weekend market, located in Bangkok. It boasts over 15,000 stalls divided into 27 zones, selling a wide variety of goods ranging from fashion clothing and second-hand/vintage items to art, jewelry, furniture, plants, pets, and delicious street food. It's a popular shopping destination for both tourists and locals alike because of its affordable prices and negotiable prices.

Opening Hours (Latest information 2025-2026): Wednesday-Thursday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Mostly plants and some merchandise)
Friday: 6:00 PM - Midnight (Night market, chill atmosphere, great for shopping for clothes and food)
Saturday-Sunday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Fully open, most lively, very crowded)

The market is large, so it's recommended to go early in the morning to avoid the heat and crowds. Bring plenty of water and comfortable walking shoes.

Getting there by BTS: Get off at Mo Chit station, exit 1, and walk a short distance.
MRT: Get off at Chatuchak Park station, exit 1, or Kamphaeng Phet station, exit 2 (closest).
There is parking available, but public transport is recommended on weekends.
